About Savage Babes
Savage Babes is an artistic events collective envisioned by artist and makers, Nana Mendez and Zitlali Yunuhem, stemming from a discussion over feelings of alienation in certain showcasing spaces. Using their entrepreneurial and event organizing skills, they knew they could could create carefully curated spaces that would be inviting, interactive and lucrative for fellow creatives.
Savage Babes' goal is to uplift femme identifying creative entrepreneurs, create communal spaces of cultural appreciation and inclusivity. (Culture defined by, "the arts and manifestations of the collective intellectual property of 'your people,'" whoever they may be.) Their focus prioritizes the sustainability of the work, through honest conversations, about the monetization of creative labor.
*In our attempt to be inclusive to all, we make our events suggested donations - allowing folks from all economic backgrounds to attend. You do not have to pay, but your donation does help fund our programming as well as go toward our featured community organization.
