Girl Informed 01: Period Positivity in collaboration with Chicago Period Project 

Presented by Cliché Collectiv, Girl Informed aims to bring young, self-identifying womxn and girls together to engage one another through empowering, critical conversations and activations about health, wellness, self-esteem, and identity. 

Period Positivity will focus on menstrual health education and celebration.

RSVP REQUIRED.

We invite youth under the age of 21 and accompanying adults to join us. Let's break the stigma of the cycle together.

FEATURING:

  • discussion led by State Matters on issues of legislation regulating access to period products in Chicago public schools
  • conversation with leaders from Planned Parenthood, Chicago Period Project and other women's health professionals.
  • break out session for accompanying adults
  • period kit giveaways w/ Chicago Period Project
  • DIY period activation w/ Cliché
  • and more!

The Chicago Period Project empowers homeless and in-need people to experience their periods with dignity. The feminist, grassroots organization distributes pads, tampons, underwear, and other critical menstruation supplies to local shelters, schools, and crisis support networks.
